Managed design and construction of a 20,000 SF Green Roof at a high-end condominium complex overlooking the Lincoln Center on the upper west side of Manhattan. Project involved opening existing elevator shaft walls for new elevator stops, replacing the existing roofing over an occupied commercial space, extensive landscaping, accent lighting and coordination of construction activities with building operations to minimize impact to residential and commercial tenants.

Mr. Mahamedi is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Civil and Structural Engineering (B.S.E 1983, M.S.E 1984). He began his construction career in the United States with Hartz Mountain Industries as a civil engineer for construction of commercial properties. He then moved on to create his own property acquisition and development entities including North American Development, and Emanuel Land Company, a property management and development company, and a subsidiary of Emanuel & Company, a Wall Street investment banking firm. His responsibilities at Emanuel were to assess the engineering and financial feasibility of investment grade development projects, and syndication of real estate partnerships. In late 1987, he joined CDG as a partner, where his responsibilities included the evaluation and supervision of all investment activities.

Moreover, Mr. Mahamedi has also been an active Private Equity investor in the science and technology sector, which in 2005 led him to a large investment in Liquidmetal Technologies (OTC:LQMT), a former NASDAQ listed company (Market Cap of $800,000,000 in 2001), and a leading force in the research, development and commercialization of a revolutionary class of patented alloys and processes with applications in a broad range of medical, military, consumer, industrial, and sporting goods products. Mr. Mahamedi has served on the board of directors since May 2009 in various roles, including Chairman and Vice Chairman, during which the company’s market capitalization has increased from less than $3,000,000 to more than $220,000,000 in 2017.

Geoffrey Rice

Geoffrey Rice’s commercial real estate career spans more than 45 years. He has been active in all facets of commercial real estate lending as both a real estate broker and lender. Mr. Rice has been involved in the solicitation and/or placement of over $8 Billion in mortgage financings.

Mr. Rice was associated with CBRE Capital Markets for twelve years, beginnin in 1997. In 1985 he joined prominent developer, Howard Ronson, founder of HRO International Ltd., and during his nine years with HRO, he was directly responsible for the day-to-day property management and on-site supervision of base building construction, including all tenant installations, for over 5 million square feet of Class A commercial real estate including Financial Square, 380 Madison Avenue, Broad Financial Center and 45 Broadway Atrium.

Joining Craven Corporation as a principal in 1993, he utilized his combination of skills in projects and property management, engineering and lease negotiation to help lead Craven Corporation to a prominent position in  the project and commercial property management business. Mr. Hardardt was responsible for over 4 million square feet of commercial property in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Highlights of his career at Craven Corporation include direct management and supervision of the repositioning of the Hiro Real Estate United States portfolio, including major capital upgrade and property management restructuring.

In April 2001, Mr. Hardardt founded TKO Project Management to focus on delivering the highest level of Project Management and Owner Representation services to building owners and tenants embarking on new construction or renovation projects.

He also advises and represents Asian clients for a Hong-Kong based private equity firm overseeing their New York City residential portfolio.


  • While at Rose Associates, he headed their business development function. At Arrow Electronics he headed their entire real estate organization directing strategy and transactions for their 300 global locations.At the real estate investment firm of Emmes he headed Asset Management, where he oversaw an extensive portfolio of office buildings, shopping centers, industrial properties and raw land.  Emmes specialized in repositioning undervalued assets.At Citigroup he joined their Asset Management workout group at its embryonic stage and was responsible for developing the department as well as managing and “working out” a varied portfolio of 80 large troubled properties located throughout the US. He was later the Director of Global Real Estate and was involved in the strategic overview of the bank’s largest assets. He also supervised Citicorp’s internal real estate consulting business that provided services in financial analysis, transactions, architecture, construction and engineering.Prior to Citicorp, Ed ran a large diversified portfolio of investment-grade properties at Merrill Lynch Hubbard.  He began his real estate career at Allied Stores (now Macys) and during his tenor there he acted as a developer, tenant and landlord for their retail properties and shopping centers.Mr. LaGrassa is a licensed real estate broker and architect. He is an active member of The Urban Land Institute (ULI) and The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).  Ed also chairs two industry organizations; the Asset Management Roundtable and the International Real Estate Group. Ed is an adjunct Professor at New York University’s graduate degree program and teaches the capstone course in real estate Asset Management.
