Hussain Ali-Khan is a seasoned real estate professional with over 25 years of management experience in a variety of industries. Mr. Ali-Khan was most recently a consultant advising corporate real estate executives and a development manager with Tishman Speyer’s India Fund. As Vice President, Real Estate Development for the New York Times Company Mr. Ali-Khan developed the company’s new headquarters designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Renzo Piano. The building includes 700,000 sf of the greenest office space in New York City for The Times Co.’s 2,600 employees and a 400 seat theater known as The TimesCenter. Incorporating a double skin curtainwall, under floor air distribution, automated shades, dimming fluorescent lighting, and a 1,500 kWh gas co-generator The New York Times Building is a showcase for green technology. The building was developed in partnership with Forest City Ratner Co. Hussain also developed several other buildings for the Times Co. including the award winning Sarasota Herald-Tribune building, designed by Arquitectonica and winner of the Businessweek-Architectural Record award of merit.

Hussain has completed almost a billion dollars in industrial and commercial projects and his broad range of experience makes him uniquely qualified to advise corporate real estate executives on workplace strategy, design management, green technologies, construction, change management and alternative energy. Hussain serves on the Board of the New York Chapter of CORENET Global, the leading corporate real estate network, where he is the Membership Chair and a co-leader of the Sustainability Community.

Hussain is a graduate or The Royal Military College of Canada where he earned a BA in English and Philosophy and served in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Infantry Officer.  He holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
