E. Lenka Dewa has a combined 26 year professional experience that consists of finance, engineering, design, construction, real estate investments and development, and private equity.
Mr. Dewa is Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GlobAf Group, Inc., an Investment, Development and Management Company. The firm provides Risk Management, Real Estate and Infrastructure Development Advisory Services to Private Equity and Hedge Funds.
From 2004 – 2007 Mr. Dewa was a member of the East Coast acquisitions and asset management team at Rockwood Capital, LLC. As a Principal of the firm, he was a Vice President & Director of Development with overall responsibility for Rockwood’s development program.
Prior to joining Rockwood Mr. Dewa was Chief Executive Officer of GlobAf Group, Inc., an infrastructure development, engineering and construction company. From 1985-2003 he worked as an executive at The ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) Group, Perini Corporation, Peter Kiewit and Son’s Inc., Carter & Burgess, Inc., and CH2M Hill, Inc. where he was responsible for engineering, construction, management and innovative financings of complex infrastructure projects globally as project engineer, project manager, project development manager and senior executive. Mr. Dewa has also served as a Summer Investment Banking Associate for Morgan Stanley in 2001 as a member of the New Assets Group. Mr. Dewa’s work also involved financial operations and analysis, estimating, budgeting, and cash flow management of projects.
Mr. Dewa received a Bachelor of Science (BS), Summa Cum Laude (first in graduating class), and an Masters of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and an Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania as a Citigroup Fellow. Mr. Dewa is a licensed Civil Engineer (PE) in several U.S. states.
Mr. Dewa is an Adjunct Professor (Risk Management in Real Estate Development) and Capstone Advisor at Georgetown and the Johns Hopkins Universities. He is an advisory board member of the Edward St. John’s Real Estate Department, Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University. He is the founding manager of the Wharton Institutional Real Estate Network (an affinity group of the Wharton Club of New York.) Mr. Dewa is a member of the honor societies of Chi Epsilon, Tau Beta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi.
